Recycling Information Resources
Recycling Information Resources
Thank you for joining us on our mission to help reduce future ocean plastic!
To learn more about recycling, we recommend visiting:
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA): An independent executive agency of the United States federal government for environmental protection which provides information on what you can recycle and how to recycle. The EPA also provides information on what you can do to grow recycling at home, school, work and your community and provides additional resources for students and educators.
The Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR): An international trade organization providing a wealth of information including local recycling resources, educational resources and news updates. This site also provides information on promoting change to more sustainable habits at both a corporate and government level.
Your efforts make a difference!
- Recycling a single plastic bottle can conserve enough energy to light a 60-watt light bulb for up to six hours
- Recycling just 10 plastic bottles saves enough energy to power a laptop for more than 25 hours
- If everyone in America recycled just one plastic bottle, those materials could make more than 54 million T-shirts or about 6.5 million fleece jackets
