Who certifies the source of plastic that is recycled to make ZenWTR bottles?
Independent third party verification is provided by OceanCycle. They confirm the source of the plastic that is recycled into all ZenWTR bottles and the standards under which it was sourced.
OceanCycle is an industry leading certifying entity for ocean-bound plastic materials which:
- gives manufacturers like zenWTR confidence in the material they are using
- gives consumers confidence they are actually buying a product made from ocean-bound plastic
- provides end-to-end traceability from local material collection through the manufacturing process
- Ensures that proper chain of custody (CoC) exists and ethical standards (including adherence to strict labor and environmental standards) are followed in the collection of ocean plastics, hence, creating models that can be replicated and scaled.
